Jason S. Wilson

Jason S. Wilson joined Coy, Gilbert, Shepherd & Wilson when the firm was still known Coy, Gilbert & Gilbert as an associate attorney in the summer of 2004 and became a partner the following year. Jason focuses his practice primarily in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death. He also has a significant criminal defense practice and handles family court issues, such as divorce and child custody as well. He is a native of Owsley County, Booneville, Kentucky, where he had a successful practice for three years prior to joining Coy, Gilbert & Gilbert. His Eastern Kentucky roots made him the ideal choice to spearhead Coy, Gilbert, Shepherd & Wilson’s Beattyville office, which opened in 2009.

Jason moved to Richmond in 1994 to attend Eastern Kentucky University where he received his B.B.A in Marketing in 1998.

Jason received his Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2001. He is admitted to practice in all district and circuit courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the Kentucky Supreme Court, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern Kentucky District of Kentucky.

He has practiced all over Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Kentucky and his personal injury practice is statewide. His areas of practice include auto accidents, big truck accidents, wrongful death claims, slip and fall claims, and dog bite/attack claims in addition to other areas.
