Jerry provides his clients with the honest legal representation that everyone is entitled to under our constitution. The criminal representation he does includes DUIs, Alcohol Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, Theft by Deception, Possession of Drugs, Trafficking of Drugs, Assault, Wanton Endangerment, and Murder charges. He regularly represents citizens charged with crimes in both state and federal courts. He is a charter and life member of the Kentucky Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has been a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 1985. Jerry also represents people in domestic cases such as divorce, custody issues, child support, adoption, and visitation. While these are not the only areas of his practice, they are the primary types of representation he does. A signifiant amount of his practice includes civil litigation matters and estates.

Jerry earned his juris doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1981 He was licensed to practice law in Kentucky in 1981, and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court of Eastern District of Kentucky, the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, the Kentucky Court of Appeals, and the Kentucky Supreme. He was appointed and served as a Special Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court (1994).

Jerry has been in private practice in Madison County, Kentucky, from 1981. He is a member of many professional associations, including the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys, the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the Madison County Bar Associations (serving as president, 1985).

Jerry is a member of the Board of Directors of the Telford YMCA and the Berea Cemetery.
